Answer: Data is backed up nightly and written to multiple disks instantly. We can perform full backup recovery in the event of a system-wide emergency. Your data is stored on several hard disks, so even if one disk or computer fails, nothing will be lost and the system will not go down. Our system is available at least 360 days in any 12-month period.
Answer: We take all reasonable precautions to keep your information safe and secure. Our state-of-the-art hardware is hosted and professionally managed. Your data is very secure. Data can only be accessed by logging in with your personal password. Each log-in has the time, date, the details of the person who logged in, and their actions recorded. You will have access to all login information for your auditing/administration purposes.
Answer: You can export your stored data in standardised format (e.g. so you can use it with Microsoft Excel). This function is available from the Administration section of BaseDiary.
Answer: We don't offer installable versions of BaseDiary. Our products are only available as an online application. We maintain the servers, the security, all the updates and improvements so you don't have to worry about a locally installed version.
Answer: We provide unlimited support via email for our paying customers, and phone support using our "call me back" button. We do our best to respond to every email within 2 business days of receiving it.
Answer: You can do this yourself. BaseDiary allows you to create your own URL, upload your company logo, and customise most of the key features of the application (e.g. such as tax codes, the consultation form, etc.)
Answer: Absolutely not. We believe extra fees are not the right way to do business. We don't charge signup fees, termination fees, or any additional fees. The price you pay is simply the fixed monthly fee based on the plan you've chosen. We also don't charge by the person. You can have up to 10 of your staff using BaseDiary and you still pay the same price. Your subscription fee also covers email support. However there is a charge for telephone support if you prefer to speak to one of our support staff over the phone. Telephone support is charged at $67.50 (incl GST) per hour on a pro rata basis in 5-minute increments.
Answer: BaseDiary is a month-to-month, pay-as-you-go service so we don't provide refunds. You are billed in advance every 30 days for the service. You can cancel the service at any time and you won't be charged again, but you are responsible for any charges already incurred.
Answer: We only accept credit cards (Visa and MasterCard). You can pay monthly, or in one lump sum for 6, 12 or 24 months in advance as you'd like. Invoices are automatically emailed to the account owner as required.
